Wines for the BBC’s Bill Buckley show

If you’re tuned in for my chat with Bill Buckley on BBC Radio Berkshire and you’d like further details on the wines we featured, here are the details:

We enjoyed a local sparkler first, from the Chilterns, Wyfold Brut 2016 is £33 from Berkshire-based Laithwaites which has stores in Theale, Windsor and Bracknell.

Our Fair Trade selection, to mark the start of Fair Trade Fortnight came from South Africa.  Journey’s End, Winemaker’s Reserve Chardonnay 2021 is £12.60 at Marks & Spencer stores and online from Ocado.

The intriguing light red, almost a rosé, that we sampled came from an excellent source of unusual wines, The Wine Society.  Blind Spot Pinot Meunier is £12.95.

And finally, a delicious winter red, from Western Australia’s Margaret River region.  Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is £30.95 at Wine Direct or Laithwaite’s at £30 or in store at Harvey Nicols in London.

Enjoy and thanks for listening.
